How it works

Lithium Iron Phosphate

LiFePO4 batteries store energy by moving lithium ions between an iron-phosphate cathode and a graphite anode. That iron-phosphate chemistry is what makes this type of lithium battery so stable — it doesn't overheat or break down the way older battery chemistries can.

A built-in guardian (BMS)

Every LiFePO4 battery has a Battery Management System — a small circuit that constantly watches charge level, temperature, and current. It automatically stops charging or discharging before anything reaches an unsafe point, so the battery protects itself.

Deeper, more usable power

A lead-acid battery is only safe to use down to about half its rated capacity — go further and you damage it. LiFePO4 can be used down to near-empty, again and again, without the same wear — so a 150Ah lithium battery delivers roughly double the usable power of a 150Ah lead-acid one.
